Working on and editing KCNN has helped me become much better with editing and working with other people, i always wanted to try to get into editing videos but never really had a reason to. KCNN gave me the opportunity to work on video editing and helped me improve a lot with it. I was able to try new things and receive feedback comfortably. I was never really a fan of being in front of the camera though i did have a few segments which pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me improve my public speaking. I also enjoy getting to work with people i normally wouldn't, meeting new people and getting to see how they see things or the segments they want to do was a great opportunity for me. I truly believe working on KCNN will really help me in future endeavors and I'm very grateful for Mr. Hazlet.
Accountability was another life skill KCNN helped me with, it was the students responsibility to get the episodes out on time, while sometimes it was stressful having to edit the KCNN the day before it came out or staying for lunch to edit it, it gave me a much better work ethic than i started the year with. Even though we didn't always get KCNN Episodes out on time, I can say that i tried my best to get the episodes out on time and have them edited well. Mr. Hazlet also helped a lot with editing and had a lot of great ideas when it came to editing, and while we didn't always agree on editing the amount of effort Mr. Hazlet puts into class and KCNN is very respectable. Savanah also helped a lot with editing, she was always helping people to stay on track and give a fresh point of view. In conclusion, I think everyone in this class played an equal role and KCNN and that's what made this years so special, everyone had their own ideas and segments that really brought KCNN to life, i don't think KCNN would have been nearly as good without everyone we had working on it.

Name of Assignment: KCNN
Subject: Media and Technology
Facilitator/Teacher: Mr. Hazlet
Description of Work/Assignment:
For this assignment, I was responsible for editing KCNN in order for it to be produced by a certain date.
Which 21st Century Skill do you feel this assignment addresses, and why?
I feel this assignment best shows off my civic literacy and engagement skills. I had to make a product that was presentable to the entire high school and fit all of the information while keeping the students engaged. The whole point of this assignment is to keep everybody in my school community involved and in the know the best I can.
What are you most proud of from this assignment, and why?
I am most proud of my ability to work with what I am given, after months of planning, scripting, and filming, I could not make others work around me, I had to work with whatever I was given and still get it done withing itght time constraints.
How did you develop and/or improve upon your 21st Century Skill with this assignment?
I developed my civic literacy and engagement by taking all of the parts of my school community and making them presentable in order to allow my peers to find new activities and try new things.
What was most difficult about completing this task?
I would say the most difficult part about completing this task was working under pressure because once I was given enough footage to start the editing process the video was already supposed to have been handed into Ms. Federoff.
How could you improve this work? If you could start over, what would you do different?
If I could improve my work I would probably try to keep my classmates on track so I would have the time to properly edit it.
How can you apply this to future learning?
I can apply this to future learning by using my editing in other projects or presentations, it is one of my preferred art forms, instead of drawings or essays because I it gives me the most freedom.
